So, wo ich nun gerade so schön in Fahrt bin mit Jon Stewart, ein weiteres kleines Zitat. Gestern Abend war Pierre Rehov zu Gast, ein französischer Regisseur, der nun einen Film über Selbstmord-Attentäter gemacht hat, namens “Suicide Killers“. Interviews mit einigen, deren Pläne fehlschlugen und die nun in Gefängnissen sitzen, über ihre Motive, ihre Mittel und Wege.

Jon Stewart: Will it change if the balance of poverty and other things change there? You know, I think people here always feel like ‘well there must be something we can do to change the equasion’.

Pierre Rehov: At this point I don’t think so. The thing is that, we are reluctant to fight the battle we should. You know, I love the Arabs […] I was born in [???] [Algeria] and I lived in Nigeria for ten years. And I, if I was in World War II, and I would love the Germans, I would want to defeat the Nazis in order to be friends with the Germans. And as far as I am, I’m liking the Arabs, I want to defeat their Nazis in order to be friends with them. And they are the first ones to suffer of this extreme Islam, because … this is not Islam, Islam is a beautiful religion. But these extremists are leading them to a situation which is gonna be catastrophic for them before it can even be catastrophic for us.
